sonnen appoints Gavin Stokes as Country Director UK and Ireland

Wildpoldsried, July 1st - Gavin Stokes joins sonnen as Country Director UK & Ireland from July 1st 2019. He will be responsible for further developing sonnen’s growth strategy for its residential storage system and Virtual Power Plant platform (VPP) in that market.

He brings a wealth of experience in developing commercial solutions in the Distributed Energy space and has a technical specialism in areas of energy efficiency, flexibility and VPP, and the Connected Home, all topics that fit well into the sonnen portfolio.

Gavin had several management positions in the energy sector at Shell and E.ON before joining sonnen. At Shell he has been working as Head of Product Development for Consumer Energy, helping to identify global opportunities in the B2C energy products and services space. At E.ON his last position was Head of the UK Solar & Storage Business, having set up and launched their position on the market.

In his new role at sonnen he will replace Martin Allman who left sonnen on June 30 to pursue new opportunities.

Gavin is a Chartered Engineer and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt. Gavin lives with his wife and children in Leicestershire.
